Lingenfelter earned Honorable Mention All-America honors as he anchored Nebraska's offensive line as its starting left tackle.

A second-team All-Big Eight performer, Lingenfelter started for NU at left tackle.

In his first year as an active member of the varsity squad, Lingenfelter backed up Mark Doak at left tackle.

Redshirt Freshman (1973)
Lingenfelter redshirted and assisted with Nebraska's scout team.

On the freshman squad, Lingenfelter was a standout at left tackle.

At Plainview HS
Lingenfelter was an all-conference and all-state performer for Coach Roger Stafford at Plainview High School, where Lingenfelter also starred as a wrestler.
