Senior (1966)

Bob Churchich was the starting quarterback for the 9-1Huskers team. Churchich would break every single passing record possible during his senior season at quarterback for the Cornhuskers. During his time he held the following records: Single Game Pass Attempts (34) ; Single Season Attempts (174) ; Career Attempts (374) ; Single Game Completions (20) ; Single Game Yards (236) ; Single Season Yards (1,136) ; Career Yards (2,734) ; Single Game TD Passes ( Three- in 1966 Orange Bowl against Alabama) ; Career TD Passes (18); Single Game Passing Percentage (.769 vs. Wisconsin in 1966) ; Season Percentage (.552) ; Career Percentage (.532) ; Total Offense During Career (2,840). Bob had his best game against Colorado in 1966, completing 20 of his 34 attempts, and throwing for 236 yards in a game.

1965 (Junior)

Split quarterback played with Fred Duda during the 1965 season. Few will remember his performance  against Alabama in the Orange Bowl, Bob hit 12 of 17 passes for 232 yards and three TD’s. Came off the bench against Oklahoma in the final game of the season to wrap up the Huskers first undefeated season in 50 years after the Sooners had jumped to a 9-0 first-quarter lead. Bobby engineered two touchdown drives to put the Huskers in front, then flipped a scoring pass to seal away the perfect season. Churchich would finish the season with 29 passes completed for 405 yards, four touchdowns and one interception. Bob also had 29 carries for 64 yards.

1964 (Sophomore)

Bob set the Nebraska record at the time for single season passing yardage record with 893. He came off the bench in the third game to lead the Huskers to a 9-1 season and a Cotton Bowl berth after Fred Duda was injured. Bobby would finish the season with 59 completions for 893 yards, seven touchdowns and eight interceptions. Bob also ran 65 times for 152 yards.

1963 (Freshman)

Bob played for the freshman team at NU. Starting as the quarterback for the Freshman team.

Son of Joe Churchich, Bob Churchich was born on May, 15, 1945, in Omaha Nebraska. Bob enrolled at NU as a Business Administration Major.
