2009 Outlook
Sophomore Ben Lester adds depth to the Husker receiving corps and will be looking for a more significant role this fall as Nebraska must replace graduated seniors Todd Peterson and Nate Swift. The 5-10, 170-pound Lester has excellent speed, but has been hindered by injuries early in his Nebraska career. A walk-on performer, Lester is the grandson of former long-time Husker offensive line coach Milt Tenopir.
2008 (Redshirt Freshman)
Lester was a reserve receiver, but missed much of the season with an injury and did not see game action.
2007 (Redshirt)
Lester sat out his first season as a redshirt and worked on the scout team.
Before Nebraska (Tecumseh HS)
Lester joined the Huskers following an outstanding senior season as a wideout and defensive back for Tecumseh High School. Lester was named to the Lincoln Journal Star's Class C-2 all-state team as an athlete in 2006, while he garnered honorable-mention recognition from the Omaha World-Herald.

Ben is the son of Rick and Kim Lester and was born on Nov. 23, 1988. Lester is majoring in communication studies and has assisted with the Huskers' area hospital visits. He is a two-time Big 12 Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll selection.
