2022 (Sophomore)
Myles Farmer started 11 games at safety in 2022, ranking second on the team with a career-high 73 tackles. He added 1.0 tackle for loss, four pass breakups and one interception.
Farmer had six tackles in the season opener against Northwestern and added six more tackles with his first career pass breakup against North Dakota. Farmer posted his third straight game with six tackles against Georgia Southern, when he broke up a pass for the second straight game. For the fourth straight game, Farmer recorded six tackles against No. 6 Oklahoma, including a three-yard tackle for loss for his first career TFL. Farmer finished with three tackles and a pass breakup against Indiana. In the win at Rutgers, Farmer had five tackles and an interception. His interception and 17-yard return with less than nine minutes remaining set up Nebraska's game-winning 27-yard touchdown drive. He had a career-high nine tackles the next week at Purdue. Farmer made seven tackles against Illinois. He had a career game against Minnesota, finishing with 14 tackles, the most by a Husker defensive back in two seasons. Farmer recorded his 100th career tackle against the Golden Gophers. He missed Nebraska's game at No. 3 Michigan but returned to make six tackles with one pass breakup against Wisconsin. In the season-ending win at Iowa, Farmer totaled five tackles.
2021 (Redshirt Freshman)
Farmer played in every game of the 2021 season and started the final four games at safety. Farmer totaled a career-high 30 tackles with 0.5 tackles for loss, one interception and one fumble recovery.
He made two tackles and recovered the first fumble of his career at Illinois. Farmer had one tackle against Fordham and three stops against Buffalo. He made one tackle against No. 20 Michigan State and No. 9 Michigan. Farmer had three tackles at Minnesota while recording the first tackle for loss of his career. He made his first start against Purdue and finished with six tackles. Farmer then had a career-high seven tackles against No. 6 Ohio State while intercepting the third pass of his career. He tallied three solo tackles at No. 19 Wisconsin before recording three tackles in the season finale with No. 17 Iowa.
2020 (Covid Season)
Farmer played in each of the season’s first five games with one start before suffering a season-ending injury. Farmer totaled eight tackles, and he tied for the team lead with two interceptions.
Farmer saw action on defense and special teams at No. 5 Ohio State, and he recorded his second career tackle and first on defense against the Buckeyes. Farmer earned his first career start at Northwestern and finished with three tackles while intercepting a pair of passes, which led to 10 points. Farmer added two tackles in the win over Penn State and against Illinois. He suffered a season-ending injury during pre-game warmups at Purdue.
2019 (Redshirt)
Farmer played in four games as a true freshman in 2019, utilizing his redshirt season. He made his career debut against Northern Illinois by playing on special teams and at safety. Farmer also played on special teams against Ohio State, recording his first career tackle on kickoff coverage. He saw action at safety against Wisconsin, and he appeared on special teams against Iowa. Farmer was also a member of Nebraska’s travel squad for four of the Huskers’ five road games in 2019.
Before Nebraska (Westlake HS)
Farmer was one of two defensive back prospects who signed with the Huskers from the Atlanta area in the 2019 recruiting class. He was a standout in the secondary at Westlake High School, where he was named to the all-region first team as a senior after earning second-team honors as a junior.
Farmer was regarded as a three-star prospect. He was ranked among the top 50 safeties nationally by Rivals and among the top 60 safeties in the country in the 247Sports Composite rankings. He only visited Nebraska but also held offers from Louisville, Minnesota, Ole Miss, Oregon, Virginia Tech and West Virginia, among others.
Personal
Myles was born on March 5, 2001, and is the son of Brice and Keshia Farmer. A sports media and communications major, he earned his bachelor's degree from Nebraska in May of 2023. He has volunteered his time with Make-a-Wish, the Nebraska Football Road Race, the Athletic Department Career Fair, Dance Marathon and local school and hospital outreach visits.
