Before Nebraska (South Grand Prairie HS)
Booker is a second-generation Husker. The Grand Prairie, Texas, product is the son of Michael Booker Jr., who played defensive back at Nebraska and was a first-round pick in the 1997 NFL Draft. The younger Booker helped South Grand Prairie High School to a 6-3 record in 2020, as the team reached the Class 6A Division 1 playoffs.  Booker’s play also helped Head Coach Brent Whitson’s team to the state playoffs during the 2019 season.

Personal
Michael was born on Jan. 4, 2003, and he is the son of Michael Booker Jr. and Michelle Booker. He is majoring in business administration. Michael Booker Jr. was a member of Husker national championship teams in 1994 and 1995, and was the Defensive MVP of the 1996 Fiesta Bowl against Florida. Booker was the 11th overall pick in the 1997 NFL Draft by the Atlanta Falcons and played five seasons with the Falcons and Tennessee Titans.
