Senior (1973)
Anderson started at split end for Nebraska and caught 27 passes including eight touchdowns for 524 yards. Anderson caught the two longest touchdowns of the season, 67-yard strikes against Minnesota and Iowa State. Anderson closed his career fourth on the all-time charts wtih 991 career receiving yards. In addition to starring on the field, Anderson was honored for his work in the class as he earned Academic All-American honors and received the Scholar-Athlete Award from the National Football Foundation and the College Football Hall of Fame.
Junior (1972)
Splitting time with Bob Revelle at split end, Anderson caught 15 passes for 381 yards. Anderson finished tied for second on the team with four receiving touchdowns, third on the team in yards and fourth on the team in receptions. In the Orange Bowl against Notre Dame, Anderson caught a 52-yard touchdown pass from Johnny Rodgers as a part of the Huskers' 40-6 rout of the Irish.
Sophomore (1971)
Anderson made seven catches for 86 yards and scored two touchdowns for the 1971 National Champions.
Freshman (1970)
Anderson played on the freshman squad.
At Scottsbluff HS
Anderson was an all-state quarterback for coach Les Lee at Scottsbluff High School. Anderson also lettered in basketball and track in high school.
Personal
The son of Mr. and Mrs. Forrest "Forddy" Anderson, Forrest P. "Frosty" Anderson was born June 24, 1951 in Peoria, Ill. His father, Forddy, is the former basketball coach at Michigan State, Hiram Scott and for the Peruvian National Team.
