Before Nebraska (Millard West HS)
Meyersick joined Nebraska as a tight end after playing wide receiver for Millard West High School. Meyersick did not play football until his junior season with the Wildcats. He had six catches for 124 yards during the regular season as a senior. Meyersick also played basketball for Millard West. As a senior, Meyersick averaged 13.3 points and approximately five rebounds per game in helping Millard West to the Class A semifinals. A four-year letterman, he averaged nearly 11 points and five rebounds per game as a junior, according to MaxPreps. Meyersick averaged 8.2 points and 2.9 rebounds per game as a sophomore and 3.5 points and 1.5 rebounds per game as a freshman. Meyersick chose to walk on at Nebraska over Division II scholarship offers from Wayne State and Augustana.

Evan was born on Nov. 15, 2002, and he is the son of Troy and Renee Meyersick. He is majoring in finance.
