Brown played in one game in 2021, making his Husker debut by lining up at wide receiver in the win against Fordham.

Before Nebraska (Elkhorn South HS)
Brown was a versatile offensive playmaker at Elkhorn South High School. As the Storm's quarterback, Brown helped Elkhorn South to the state quarterfinals as a senior. The Storm ranked third in Class A in total offense, averaging better than 400 yards per game. An honorable-mention all-state pick, Brown threw for 1,322 yards and 13 touchdowns as a senior, while rushing for 582 yards and five scores. In another state quarterfinal run as a junior, Brown passed for 865 yards and eight touchdowns and rushed for 273 yards and four touchdowns. Brown saw action on a state semifinal team as a sophomore. He chose to walk on at Nebraska over scholarship offers from Northwest Missouri State, Augustana and UNK. Elliott's father, Lance, was a member of Nebraska's 1995 and 1997 national championship teams.

Personal
Elliott was born on April 4, 2002, and is the son of Sara and Lance Brown. He is majoring in business administration and was an Academic All-Big Ten selection in 2021. He has been active in the community, volunteering with the FCA, the Nebraska Football Road Race, the Dream Makers Camp and youth football camps around the state. Elliott's father, Lance, was a member of Nebraska's 1995 and 1997 national championship teams.
