2022 (Sophomore)
DeShon Singleton played on special teams in every game in his first season at Nebraska in 2022. He has also seen action on defense in six games. Singleton posted his first tackle as a Husker against Indiana. He recorded two tackles at No. 3 Michigan, one on defense and one on kickoff coverage.

Before Nebraska (St. Helena HS/Hutchinson [Kan.] CC)
Singleton joined Nebraska after spending the 2021 season at Hutchinson Community College in Kansas. Singleton helped Hutchinson to a 9-2 record, a top-10 ranking and a victory in the Salt City Bowl in his lone season as a Blue Dragon. He recorded 21 tackles on the season with 2.5 tackles for loss, a pair of interceptions and two pass breakups. 

Singleton joined Hutchinson from St. Helena College and Career Academy in Louisiana, where he played quarterback and safety.

A three-star recruit, Singleton was rated among the top 20 prospects in the 247Sports Composite junior college rankings. The No. 4 junior college safety, Singleton chose Nebraska after also considering Kansas and Kansas State, among others.

DeShon is the son of Ursula Singleton, and he was born on Feb. 4, 2003. He has not declared a major.
