Chase Contreraz did not play in a game in 2022.

2021 (Sophomore)
Contreraz started Nebraska's final four games at place-kicker in 2021. On the season, he was perfect on 11 extra-point tries and connected on 2-of-4 field goals with a long of 39 yards.

Contreraz made his Husker debut by earning the start against Purdue. Contreraz connected on a 33-yard field goal in his lone attempt against the Boilermakers, while making both extra-point tries. He also started against No. 6 Ohio State, connecting on both PATs and making a 39-yard field goal. Contreraz set a career high with four extra points at No. 19 Wisconsin, and he was 3-for-3 on extra points in the season finale against No. 17 Iowa.

2020 (Covid Season)
Contreraz did not play in his first season at Nebraska in 2020.

Before Nebraska (Missouri Valley HS/Iowa Western CC)
Contreraz joined Nebraska as a walk-on after a successful 2019 season at Iowa Western Community College. Contreraz helped the Reivers to a 9-3 record in 2019. He connected on 15-of-18 field goals and 44-of-46 extra points. He made a season-long 47-yard field goal against Snow College and had a season-high three field goals in a game at Dodge City CC. He was a second-team All-American in 2019 from the NJCAA. Previously, Contreraz competed at Missouri Valley High School in Iowa, helping Coach Brian Knott’s teams to 7-3 records in both 2016 and 2017. 

Personal
Chase was born on Jan. 11, 2000, and he is the son of Victor and Theresa Contreraz. A child, youth and family studies major, he earned his bachelor's degree in May of 2023.
