2022 (Senior)
Chancellor Brewington played in every game in 2022, catching 11 passes for 100 yards and one touchdown. He caught a five-yard touchdown pass against North Dakota, his second career receiving touchdown as a Husker. Brewington had a five-yard reception against Indiana. At Rutgers, Brewington had a 17-yard catch. He caught two passes against No. 17 Illinois, including a 45-yard reception that tie his career long. Against Minnesota, Brewington had a five-yard reception. He caught two passes for 11 yards against Wisconsin. In his final game, Brewington had a 10-yard grab in the win at Iowa.
2021 (Junior)
Brewington played in 10 games in his first season at Nebraska in 2021, catching three passes for 20 yards and one touchdown. He made his Husker debut in the win over Fordham, catching two passes for eight yards, including a two-yard touchdown reception. Brewington added a 12-yard catch the next week against Buffalo. Although that was his final catch of the season, Brewington was one of Nebraska’s top perimeter run blockers throughout the year.
Before Nebraska (Hamilton HS/Northern Arizona)
Brewington joined the Nebraska program after spending four seasons at Northern Arizona. Brewington played in 21 career games for the Lumberjacks.
Brewington did not participate in Northern Arizona’s 2021 spring season because of injury, and he redshirted in 2019. In his last competitive action as a sophomore in 2018, Brewington caught 23 passes for 246 yards and a touchdown, highlighted by five catches for 63 yards against Weber State.
He played in 11 games with nine starts as a freshman in 2017. Brewington ranked third for the Lumberjacks with 31 catches for 396 yards and two touchdowns. He had a season-best eight catches for 119 yards and a touchdown vs. Sacramento State and finished the year with five receptions for 46 yards in the FCS playoffs against San Diego.
Brewington played his prep ball at Hamilton High School in Arizona, where he was an all-region selection and regarded as one of the top five receivers in the state. He tallied more than 1,700 receiving yards and grabbed 20 touchdowns in high school. A three-sport standout, he also played baseball and basketball.
Personal
Chancellor was born on Aug. 19, 1999, and he is the son of Jamie and Debbie Brewington. He was a graduate transfer from Northern Arizona and is taking graduate courses at Nebraska.
