Cayden Echternach redshirted in his first season at Nebraska.
Before Nebraska (Bellevue West HS)
Echternach joined the Huskers from the Omaha metro area. Echternach played his final season for Bellevue West High School in 2022 after playing for Omaha Burke High School in his first three seasons.
In his high school career, Echternach had 27 catches and more than 420 receiving yards. As a senior for Bellevue West, Echternach caught 17 passes for more than 200 yards with two touchdowns. He earned honorable-mention All-Metro recognition from the Omaha World-Herald. Echternach caught 10 passes for 190 yards as a junior at Omaha Burke. He also played on the baseball team for two years at Burke.
