2022 (Junior)
Brody Belt battled injuries to play in five games in 2021. He caught seven passes for 64 yards with multiple receptions in three of his five games. He caught two passes for 29 yards against Northwestern, with both of his receptions resulting in first downs. Against Georgia Southern, Belt caught two passes for 24 yards, including a 21-yard touchdown reception for his first career score. Belt hauled in two passes for nine yards against No. 6 Oklahoma. He had a two-yard reception against Indiana. 

2021 (Sophomore)
Belt played in eight games in 2021 with one start against Minnesota. He caught six passes for 68 yards and rushed 10 times for 48 yards. 

He had a 16-yard reception against Buffalo for his first career catch. At No. 20 Michigan State, Belt hauled in a career-long 24-yard catch and also had a three-yard carry. He added an 11-yard reception against Northwestern. He had a career-high seven carries for 31 yards at No. 19 Wisconsin with a seven-yard reception. Against No. 17 Iowa, Belt had two carries for 14 yards and a pair of catches for 10 yards.

2020 (Covid Season)
After an offseason switch from running back to wide receiver, Belt played in every game as a sophomore. He saw action on both offense and special teams, returning one kickoff for 11 yards at Northwestern.

2019 (Redshirt Freshman)
Belt earned playing time on both offense and special teams. He played on special teams in every game, recording tackles on kickoff coverage against South Alabama, Illinois and Indiana. He also served as one of Nebraska’s kickoff returners in 2019, returning kickoffs for 19 yards at Purdue, 14 yards against Wisconsin and 16 yards at Maryland. Offensively, Belt had the first four carries of his career at Minnesota and gained 29 yards, including a 22-yard run that tied for the Huskers’ longest rush of the game. He also had one carry for three yards at Maryland.

2018 (Redshirt)
Belt gained valuable experience while redshirting in his first season at Nebraska in 2018. Belt enrolled early and participated in spring practice  and benefited from a full offseason of training.

Before Nebraska (Millard West HS)
Belt was named a Lincoln Journal Star second-team all-state running back as a senior in 2017 for state quarterfinalist Millard West. Belt rushed for 1,567 yards and added another 214 yards receiving, as he scored 26 total touchdowns. As a junior in 2016, Belt rushed for 208 yards on 20 carries with five touchdowns, and he was an Omaha World-Herald honorable-mention all-state selection as he helped the Wildcats to the state quarterfinals. Belt also participated in basketball and baseball at Millard West.

Personal
Brody is the son of Bob and Amy Belt, and he was born on April 14, 2000. He earned his degree in December of 2021, and is working on a master’s degree. Belt has volunteered his time with the Nebraska Football Road Race and local hospital visits.
