2022 (Sophomore)
Brant Banks played on special teams in every game as a sophomore. He also saw extensive action on the offensive line in Nebraska's win over Indiana and also played on the line against Purdue, Illinois, Wisconsin and Iowa.
2021 (Redshirt Freshman)
Banks played in nine games in 2021. He started at left tackle in the Huskers’ season opener at Illinois, marking his first career start. Banks also played on the line against Fordham and Buffalo, while appearing in six additional games on special teams.
2020 (Covid Season)
Banks played in four games as a redshirt freshman. He played on special teams and on the offensive line at No. 5 Ohio State, and he also saw action on special teams against Northwestern, Penn State, Illinois and Iowa.
2019 (Redshirt)
Banks enrolled early and spent the spring on the defensive line before making the switch to the offensive line. He played in one game as a true freshman, appearing at left tackle at Maryland. As the third of three true freshman offensive linemen to play in 2019, Banks became only the 14th Nebraska true freshman offensive lineman to play in a game.
Following the season, Banks was added to the Nebraska men's basketball roster just prior to the Big Ten Tournament. He played three minutes in the Huskers' loss to Indiana in the tournament's first round.
Before Nebraska
Banks was a versatile player for Westbury Christian High School in Houston, playing on the offensive line, defensive line and tight end. He was an all-district performer as both an offensive and defensive lineman.
As a senior, Banks was a first-team all-district honoree at offensive tackle for Westbury Christian. Banks was a first-team all-district offensive lineman as a junior and a second-team pick as a defensive lineman, when he helped Westbury Christian to the state playoffs. He also earned second-team all-state honors from the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools as a junior.
Banks was considered a three-star recruit, and Rivals ranked him among the top 50 offensive tackles in the country and the top 70 players in the state of Texas. He held more than a dozen scholarship offers and chose Nebraska after also visiting Baylor and Missouri.
Personal
Brant was born on May 1, 2000, and is the son of Todd and Randa Banks. He earned his degree in management in May of 2022 and will play as a graduate student. Banks has volunteered his time with the Nebraska Football Road Race, Operation Christmas Child and local hospital visits.
