AJ Rollins played in five games at tight end  in 2022.

Rollins played in two games as a true freshman, making his Husker debut against Fordham and also playing against Buffalo.

Before Nebraska (Creighton Prep)
Rollins was the first Creighton Prep product to sign with the Huskers since 2005. Rollins had seen himself playing college basketball until the summer before his senior year of high school.

Rollins was one of 250 finalists to be a 2020 Sports Illustrated All-American, and he was named a second-team Super-State selection by the Lincoln Journal Star. He helped the Junior Jays to the state quarterfinals as a senior. As a junior, Rollins caught 13 passes for 169 yards and two touchdowns. On the basketball court, Rollins helped Prep to the state semifinals and a top-25 national ranking as a senior. He averaged nearly 10 points and seven rebounds per game as a senior after averaging 11.2 points and 6.1 rebounds per game as a junior.

Rollins was ranked among the nation’s top 45 tight ends in the 247Sports Composite rankings. He chose Nebraska over Iowa State and Missouri, among others.

AJ was born on Nov. 4, 2002, and he is the son of Tony and Cyrenthia Rollins. He is majoring in psychology. His cousin is New York Jets running back Breece Hall.
