Before Nebraska (Elkhorn HS)
Young joined Nebraska after helping Elkhorn High School to a Class B state championship as a senior. Young rushed for 110 yards, including a 46-yard touchdown run, and returned a kickoff for a 76-yard touchdown in the Antlers' state championship win over Aurora. Young finished his senior season with more than 1,500 rushing yards and 24 rushing touchdowns, according to the Omaha World-Herald. For his efforts, he was named a first-team Super-State selection by the Lincoln Journal Star as a senior. As a junior, Young was named an honorable-mention all-state selection by both the Journal Star and the Omaha World-Herald. Young chose to walk on at Nebraska after also receiving several Division II scholarship offers.

Personal
Aiden was born on Oct. 29, 2002, and is the son of Wyndle and Linda Young. He is majoring in pre-health/pre-medicine.
