Before Nebraska
Saylor Swanson spent one season at Wingate University before transferring to Nebraska. Wingate posted an 11-2 record in 2026 and won the inaugural Conference Carolinas flag football tournament.
In high school, Swanson led Arvada West to a perfect season record (25-0) and a Colorado state title in her senior year. She recorded 81 passing touchdowns with a 71.5 completion percentage and a total of 4,953 passing yards. The Colorado native also amassed 958 rushing yards and 12 rushing touchdowns. The 2024 Colorado Flag Football Player of the Year, Swanson was a two-time first-team all-conference selection.
As a tri-sport athlete, Swanson lettered in tennis, basketball and flag football all four years of high school.
