Before Nebraska
Sara Walker spent one season at Wingate University before transferring to Nebraska. Wingate posted an 11-2 record in 2026 and won the inaugural Conference Carolinas flag football tournament.
In high school, Walker led Arvada West to a perfect season record (25-0) and a Colorado state title in her senior year. The 2024 Jeffco Conference Defensive Player of the Year, Walker was also a first-team all-state selection as a senior.
Walker lettered in flag football, lacrosse and basketball at Arvada West High School. She was a first-team all-conference selection in basketball.
