Before Nebraska
Kyendra Thomas spent her freshman year at the University of Saint Mary before transferring to Nebraska. In her debut season, she racked up 185 rushing yards and four touchdowns, along with 173 passing yards and two passing touchdowns. Thomas added five tackles on the defensive side.
Thomas attended Wwakulla High School in Florida, where she was the All-Big Bend Player of the Year and on the All-Big Bend offensive and defensive first teams. She played club ball for the Southwood Heroes under Head Coach Samuel Brown.
