Before Nebraska
As the starting quarterback for the Mountain Vista Golden Eagles, Ariana Akey led her team to back-to-back state championships in her junior and senior year campaigns. The Colorado native combined for two perfect seasons of 19-0, while totaling 8,980 passing yards and 171 passing touchdowns. Akey also competed in track and field, where she was a four-time state champion and excelled as a point guard in girls' basketball.
