A native of Burwell, Neb., Brady Bonsall was the first member of the men’s cross country or track and field team to earn Academic All-America honors twice, as he was selected as a third-team member in 1995 and was a first-team pick in 1996. A three year letterwinner in track from 1994-1996 and four-year letterwinner in cross country from 1992-1995, Bonsall was voted the cross country team’s Most Valuable Runner on the men’s side in 1995. Bonsall led the Huskers on the course as a senior in ’95, as he placed 12th at the final Big Eight Cross Country Championships, finished eighth at the District V meet and ended the season with an 87th-place showing at the NCAA Championships. Bonsall earned his bachelor’s degree in mathematics education in 1995 and went on to earn his master’s in curriculum and instruction in 1999.<?xml:namespace prefix="o" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office"?>
