2011 (Freshman)
Samantha Morabe (pronounced More-AH-bay) competed in two meets during the indoor track and field season... recorded a personal-best 3:10.40 in the 1,000 meters at the Nebraska Tune-Up on Feb. 18... notched a personal-best 5:24.23 in the mile also at the Nebraska Tune-Up... set a personal best time of 19:40.56 in the 5,000 meters at the NWU Invitational... did not compete during the outdoor track and field season.

Before Nebraska (Great Oak HS)
Morabe joins the Huskers after competing at Great Oak High School in Temecula, Calif., under Coach Doug Soles... ran against some of the top prep athletes in the country in the Southern Section of Division I, which includes the Los Angeles area... posted personal bests of 5:02.54 in the 1,600 meters and 11:10.83 in the 3,200 meters as a senior... lone appearance at the California Division I Cross Country Championships came as a senior... finished 65th to help the Wolfpack take runner-up honors as a team.
