Dani Dapo (pronounced Johnny JAP-o) competed in two meets during the indoor season, posting a season-best time of 1:58.71 in the 800 meters at the adidas Classic and 2:34.97 in the 1,000 meters at the Holiday Inn Invitational... competed at the K.T. Woodman Classic on April 14, posting a time of 1:59.19 in the 800 meters and 4:09.08 in the 1,500 meters.
2011 (Sophomore)
Dapo competed in three meets during the outdoor track and field season... posted a personal-best 4:02.23 in the 1,500 meters at the WSU Classic... also recorded a season-best 1:54.52 in the 800 meters at the Concordia Invitational.
2010 (Redshirt Freshman)
Dapo posted a personal best of 2:28.19 in the 1,000 meters at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational and an oversized best of 1:53.94 in the 800 meters at the Bill Bergan Invitational... focused on the 800 meters during the outdoor season... posted the fourth-best time by a Husker outdoors in 2010 with a personal best of 1:53.65 at the Jim Click Shootout.
2009 (Freshman)
Dapo competed for the Huskers indoors, before redshirting outdoors... started in the indoor season at the Holiday Inn Invitational with a personal-best time of 1:55.60 in the 800 meters... competed only one time unattached during the outdoor season... ran a then-outdoor best of 1:55.62 at the Nebraska Invitational, finishing seventh.
Before Nebraska (Omaha Westside HS)
Dapo made trips to the Nebraska Class A state meet in all four years under Coach Rick McKever... contributed to a sixth-place finish in the 4x800-meter relay as a sophomore... finished sixth in the 800 (1:58.91), seventh in the 4x400 (3:27.41) and second in the 4x800 (8:05.08) as a junior... placed second in the 800 (1:55.91) and anchored the sixth-place 4x800-meter relay team (8:08.13) as a senior... was a four-time participant at the state cross country meet, with 20th being his best finish as a senior... chose Nebraska over Kansas.
