Colorado State
Parry battled the effects of compartment syndrome during her two years at CSU. She redshirted the 2004 cross country season and ran unattached in two meets. She was kept out of competition as a sophomore due to the injury.
In track, Parry was able to compete in four indoor meets as a freshman in 2005 before redshirting outdoors. She missed all of the 2006 indoor and outdoor seasons following her surgery in December 2005.
High School
Parry was a member of the highly successful RockyMountainHigh School teams in both cross country and track. Coached by her father, Bob Parry, Adrienne ran in three Colorado Class 5A State Championships in cross country with her team finishing fourth as a senior.
Parry ran on the 4x800-meter relay team every year at the Colorado Class 5A state track and field championships. Her 2003 and 2004 4x800-meter relay teams finished fourth with the 2003 team setting the RockyMountainHigh School record in 9:37.66, a squad in which she led off. Parry also ran on the 4x400-meter relay team that was second in the 2004 state meet. RockyMountain won the Colorado Class 5A track and field team championship in 2002 and was second in 2001 and 2004 and fifth in 2003.
Personal
The daughter of Bob and Amy Parry, Adrienne was born June 20, 1985. Parry has two sisters, Erika (23) and Dani (18), and two brothers, Tyler (16) and Tim (16). Adrienne is majoring in communication studies at Nebraska.
