2023: Appeared in six relief outings for the Huskers. • Totaled a 2.84 ERA and five strikeouts in 6.1 innings. • Pitched a season-high two innings vs. Northern Colorado. • Posted a season-high two strikeouts against South Dakota State and Northern Colorado. • Had a 1.1-inning outing at San Diego and tossed one inning vs. Omaha. • Tallied a strikeout vs. Omaha.

2022: Mason Ornelas appeared in 17 games, making one start on the mound in debut season at Nebraska. • Went 2-0 with a 5.31 ERA and one save. • Totaled 26 strikeouts in 39 innings. • Limited opposing hitters to a .257 batting average. • Had five pitching appearances of at least three innings. • Notched three outings with at least three strikeouts, including a season-high four strikeouts against Sam Houston and Kansas State. • Posted wins vs. Sam Houston and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. • Recorded lone save vs. Oral Roberts. • Pitched season-high 4.1 innings at Illinois, allowing one run one five hits with one strikeout.

Personal: A child, youth and family studies major, he earned his bachelor's degree from Nebraska in December of 2022.
