2020: Carter Cross played in two games before the season was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic • Went 0-for-1 during the second game of a doubleheader against Columbia on March 7.
2019: Cross played in 22 games, making 12 starts (11 in left field and one as the designated hitter) • Batted .220 (9-for-41) with 10 RBIs, seven runs scored, one double and one triple • Had at least one hit in five of his first six games of the season, going 6-for-11 from Feb. 16 to March 2 • Drove in two runs as part of a 2-for-3 performance against UC Riverside on Feb. 16 • Doubled during his 1-for-2 day against Oregon State on Feb. 24 • Tripled and drove in a career-high four runs against Sam Houston State on March 2 • Went 1-for-1 with two RBIs and one run scored against Purdue on April 5 • Recorded an RBI against Michigan in the Big Ten Tournament on May 25 during a 1-for-2 performance.
2018: Cross started eight of his 13 appearances with seven starts in right field and one start in left field • Played in 12 of the last 22 games of the season after making one appearance during the first 30 games • Batted .185 (5-for-27) with four RBIs and two runs scored • Drove in one run in both of his appearances during the Maryland series, which included a 2-for-3 performance on May 5 • Went 1-for-3 with one RBI against Nevada on April 26 • Had an RBI and a run scored at Kansas State on April 10 • Had a hit in his first career at-bat on March 10, as he went 1-for-2 as a substitution in the first game of a doubleheader against Cal Poly.
2017: Cross redshirted during his first year at Nebraska.
Before Nebraska: Cross joined the Huskers from Cathedral Prep High School in Fairview, Pa., where he played for Dave Hess • Tabbed as a top-500 overall player in the country by Perfect Game and the No. 117 outfielder • Named the No. 18 overall player in the state of Pennsylvania and the No. 2 outfielder in the state • Helped the Ramblers to three District 10 championships • Hit .454 during his prep career with 114 hits • Also starred on the mound with a career ERA of 1.49 and 183 strikeouts • Was twice named District 10 Player of the Year and was a four-time District 10 all-star • Was a 2016 Rawlings-Perfect Game Honorable-Mention All-American • Four-time letterwinner in both baseball and basketball • Member of the National Honor Society.
