2016: Ryan Connolly redshirted his first season at Nebraska.

Before Nebraska: Connolly joined the Huskers from Castle Rock, Colo., where he starred at Douglas County High School • Was ranked as the No. 8 overall prospect in the state of Colorado and the No. 1 left-handed pitcher • Was ranked as the No. 99 left-handed pitching recruit in the nation by Perfect Game • Totaled 13 wins during his high school career, with 167 strikeouts and a 2.74 ERA over 115 innings • Helped lead the Huskies to a trip to the round of 16 at the 2015 5A state tournament • Earned first-team All-Continental League honors in 2014 and 2015 • Was a two-time Denver Post All-Colorado honorable-mention pick • Played in the Colorado Rockies Futures High School All-Star Game in both 2014 and 2015 • Tossed a no-hitter against Heritage High School on April 20, 2014.
