2014: Aaron Bummer was drafted by the Chicago White Sox following the 2014 season and signed a professional contract • Finished his three-year Husker career with a 11-6 record and one save over 51 appearances, including 23 starts • Posted a career ERA of 3.06 and 110 strikeouts in 158.2 innings • Gave the Huskers 6.1 innings against Cal State Fullerton at the NCAA Tournament on June 1 • Allowed just five hits and two walks, while striking out four • Allowed four runs against the Titans, all unearned • Struck out a career-high tying seven in a 3-2 win over Michigan State at the Big Ten Tournament on May 22 • Went 7.0 innings and gave up just four hits, while the Spartans scored a pair of unearned runs • Fell to 6-4 on the year following a 5-1 loss to Illinois on May 16 • Cruised through first four innings, but then gave up three runs (two earned) on four hits in the fifth • Gave up eight hits on the night, but no walks, over 5.0 innings • Allowed just four hits over 7.1 innings in a 4-1 win at Michigan State on May 10 • Improved to 6-3 with the win over the Spartans, while posting his 10th career victory • Improved to 5-3 on the year in a 7.0-inning outing against Penn State on May 3 to clinch a series win • Allowed one earned run on four hits and four walks, while striking out six • Went 5.1 innings in a loss at Michigan on April 27 • Gave up six runs (three earned) on only four hits, while walking a career-high tying five batters • Last just 3.2 inning against Northwestern on April 19 after giving up a career-high eight runs (five earned) on a career-high 11 hits, but Huskers rallied for a 10-9 win • Put the Wildcats down in order in the first and second innings, but then gave up five runs on six hits in the third • Gave the Huskers 7.0 strong innings, but didn’t factor into the decision, leaving with the game at Minnesota on April 13 tied 2-2 • Produced a career-high seven strikeouts, while allowing two runs on six hits and one walk • Had three perfect innings on the afternoon, while four of the Gophers six hits came in their two-run fifth • Threw Nebraska's third-straight complete game and completed a three-game sweep of Ohio State in a career-high 9.0 innings of work in a 2-1 win on April 6 • Allowed five hits and one walk to the Buckeyes and the one run allowed was unearned • Needed 98 pitches for the complete game, including 47 pitchers over the final 5.0 innings • Threw a then-career-high 7.2 innings in a 5-3 win over UNLV on March 30 to help the Huskers avoid a sweep • Tied a then-career high with five strikeouts against the Rebels, and also gave up his first career home run in his 42nd career appearance • Made his first conference start of the year at Iowa on March 23 • Went 5.0 innings, giving up seven hits, against the Hawkeyes and didn’t factor into the decision as he left with the game tied 3-3 • Even his record at 2-2 with a win over Northern Colorado on March 11 • Struck out five Bears, including three in the first inning, over 5.2 innings of work • Tagged for a then-career-high seven runs, including a career-high six earned runs, on seven hits over 4.0 innings in a loss at The Citadel on March 1 • Was given an 11-0 lead after two innings against Washington on Feb. 22 and coasted to his first win of the year • Worked 6.0 innings and kept the ball over the plate, giving up seven hits, but just two runs, while striking out a pair • Season got off to a bumpy start against No. 2 Oregon State on Feb. 15 at the Husker Classic in Tempe, Ariz. • Matched a career low by only going 3.0 innings • Gave up a four runs (all earned) on a then-career-high tying six hits.

2013: Bummer spent the first part of his sophomore season working out of the Husker bullpen, before earning a spot in the weekend rotation during the second half of the season • Made eight starts in 16 appearances on the year, including starts in his final seven appearances • Posted a 3-1 record and one save over 50.1 innings of work • Went 5.0 or more innings in six of his seven starts at the end of the season, including 7.0 innings in each of his final three starts • Carried a 3.86 ERA before making his final seven starts and ended the year with a 2.50 ERA • Gave up a career-high three runs just twice on the year and gave up three earned runs just once • Gave the Huskers 7.0 innings against Ohio State in the second round of the Big Ten Tournament at Target Field on May 23 • Left the game tied at 2-2 after striking out a career-high tying five Buckeyes • Ohio State won the game, 3-2, in the bottom of the ninth on a bases-loaded walk • Improved to 3-1 on the year against Michigan on May 17, as he allowed one earned run on four hits over 7.0 innings in a 9-6 Husker win • Aided in a series win at Minnesota with 7.0 shutout innings on May 12 • Allowed just three hits and struck out three Gophers in the 8-0 win at Seibert Field in Minneapolis • Was tagged with his first career loss at home on May 6 against No. 14 Indiana • Gave up three runs, two earned, on three hits and a career-high five walks over 4.0 innings • Made his first career Big Ten start against Ohio State at home on April 13 • Went 5.0 innings, giving up one unearned run on four hits and no walks, while striking out three • Left the game against the Buckeyes in line for the win with a 4-1 lead, but NU’s bullpen gave up five runs that resulted in 6-5 Husker loss • Earned his first win of the season in a mid-week start against Northern Colorado on March 6 • Struck out a career-high five Bears, while giving up one run on three hits over 3.0 innings of work • In eight appearances out of the bullpen, Bummer gave up three runs, all earned, on seven hits • Picked up his first career save against Northwestern on March 30 • Entered the game with an 8-5 lead and two Wildcats in scoring position • After hitting the first batter he faced to load the bases, he produced a strikeout and a ground out that secured a series win over the Wildcats • Nebraska went on to sweep Northwestern the following day.

2012: Bummer was one of the Huskers' top left-handed pitchers out of the bullpen in 2012 • Worked 19.1 innings over 20 appearances with 22 strikeouts • Was part of two combined shutouts during the season • Held opponents to a .219 batting average overall and was even tougher on left-handed batters, as he held them to a .174 average • Didn't give up an earned run until his sixth appearance of the year after throwing 7.0 innings of shutout ball to start the season • Threw 0.2 innings of no-hit relief in the season-ending loss to Ohio State at the Big Ten Tournament • Pitched a perfect innings of relieft with one strikeout in the series-opening win at Michigan to clinch a bid to the conference tournament on May 17 • Was one of five pitchers to combine for a 6-0 shutout at Kansas State on April 3 • Struck out a career-high four batters over 2.0 innings of scoreless relief against Louisiana Tech on March 18 • Threw a career-high 34 pitches against the Bulldogs, the only game all season he threw more than 30 pitches • Picked up his first win as a Husker on March 13 with a career-high 2.1 innings of work against South Dakota State • Was perfect against the Jackrabbits and recorded two strikeouts • Made his first appearance as a Huskers on Feb. 25 in a 15-0 win against Utah at the Kleberg Bank College Classic in Corpus Christi, Texas • Threw 1.0 innings of scoreless relief against the Utes with one strikeout.

Before Nebraska: Bummer arrived in Lincoln after being picked in the 31st round of the 2011 Draft by the New York Yankees • Was named a 2011 Rawlings Preseason honorable-mention All-American and the 18th-best prospect in the state of Arizona by MaxPreps • Had a tough senior season at Sunrise Mountain High School under Head Coach Eric Gardner, as he broke his leg following his second start of the season • Came back as the team’s closer during the state playoffs and totaled three saves • Helped his squad earn a runner-up finish at the Arizona 4-A1 playoffs • Pitched 21 innings, with 21 strikeouts and a 3.00 ERA as a senior • Went 4-2 and added three saves as a junior with a 1.67 ERA and 54 strikeouts in 42 innings of work • Was an Arizona Academic Scholar • Chose Nebraska over Arizona, Arizona State and Utah.
