Before Nebraska: West transferred to Nebraska after redshirting at Iowa Western CC in 2015 • Graduated from Millard North High School in 2014 and was tabbed as the No. 1 left-handed pitcher and the No. 3 overall player in the state of Nebraska by Perfect Game • Ranked as the No. 132 left-handed high school pitcher in the country by Perfect Game in 2014 • Was 2-1 as a senior with a 2.65 ERA • Hit .408 at the plate in 2014, including .500 in the Class A state tournament with eight RBIs • Played at the 2013 Perfect Game WWBA World Championships in Jupiter, Fla., for Marucci Elite-Houston.
