- 2006 Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll (Spring 2006)
2007 Outlook: After a redshirt year, left-hander Tim Scott is poised to make an impact in the Husker bullpen ? Spent last season overhauling his delivery and dropping to a 3/4 arm angle to make it tougher for hitters to pick up ? Has worked on increasing his velocity and is now challenging for a spot in the bullpen for NU’s conference travel roster ? Will likely be used as a situational reliever.
2006: Redshirted ? Pitched for the Kansas City Sluggers and Coach Andy Powers ? Went winless in five decisions with a 4.11 ERA, striking out 21 over 48.2 innings.
Ely High School: Scott was one of the state’s top all-around performers at Ely High School ? Combined for 12 letters, as he played baseball, basketball and football ? Was a four-year performer on the diamond for coach Frank Ivancich, earning all-area and all-conference accolades while being chosen as the area player of the year as a senior ? Also played American Legion baseball, going 10-1 with 116 strikeouts and a 0.44 ERA in 79 innings as a senior ? Went a combined 18-1 during his final two seasons of American Legion baseball for Coach Tom Coombe ? Excelled on the basketball court as well, becoming only the 11th player in Minnesota High School history to score more than 2,000 points and grab 1,000 rebounds during his prep career ? Earned all-state honors in basketball and was a three-time all-area pick, while also earning all-league honors in football at Ely Memorial ? Was also recruited by Minnesota State-Mankato before choosing to become a Husker.
Personal: Born on Oct. 2, 1986, in Ely, Minn. ? Parents are Bill and Martha Scott ? Has two brothers (Dylan and Charlie) and one sister (Jenny) ? Majors in nutrition, exercise and health science.
