2014: Pat Kelly was the first member of the 2014 team to get picked in the MLB First-Year Player Draft, going in the 12th round to the Minnesota Twins •  The three-time All-Big Ten performer and two-time first-team selection decided to forgo his senior season and sign with the Twins • Led the Huskers in hits for the second straight season with 76 in 2014 • Ended his career ranked 20th in school history with 212 career hits • Posted a .990 fielding percentage in 2014, committing just three errors • Left Nebraska ranked seventh in school history with 468 assists • Was 4-for-13 with a pair of RBIs in three games at the Stillwater Regional • Doubled and scored a pair of runs in a 6-1 win over Michigan at the Big Ten Tournament on May 24 • Went 3-for-5 with a game-tying two-RBI single in the bottom of the ninth in a 7-6 comeback win over Ohio State in the first round of the Big Ten Tournament on May 21 • Capped a 3-for-5 day with a three-run walk-off homer in the 10th against Illinois on May 17 to conclude the regular season, was his 20th multi-hit game of the year • Became the 22nd player in school history to notch 200 career hits with a single in the second inning in a 4-1 win at Michigan State on May 11 • Posted first career two-double game, including a three-RBI double, in a series opening 5-3 win at Michigan State on May 10 • Was 6-for-11 with four runs and eight RBIs, including a pair of three-RBI games, in a series sweep of Penn State • Also hit his third homer of the season in the second game of the series against the Nittany Lions • Drove in the eventual game winning run with a RBI single in a 4-1 win at Omaha on April 30 • Hit his second home run of the season at Michigan on April 27, capped his second four-RBI game of the season • 50th career multi-hit game on April 26 at Michigan, went 2-for-5 with a double • Also scored the eventual game-winning run against the Wolverines on a sacrifice fly by Steven Reveles • Notched 14th multi-hit game of the year, going 2-for-5 with a double and a RBI • Became 44th player at Nebraska since 1986 to notched 100 career RBIs, hitting the century mark on April 19 against Northwestern • Posted 30th career multi-RBI game in a 14-5 win over Kansas State on April 15 • Notched 22nd career double at Minnesota on April 11 • Went 0-for-4 at the plate, but drove in a pair of runs in a 10-6 loss to Kansas State on April 9 • Was 2-for-4 in a 3-2 win over Ohio State on April 4 and tied the game 2-2 with a RBI single in the eighth • Went 2-for-3 and scored a pair of runs for the 16th time in his career in a 5-3 win over UNLV on March 30 • Notched 10th multi-hit game of the year and 45th of his career with a 3-for-4 performance, including a pair of two-out RBIs singles, against UNLV on March 29 • Picked up ninth multi-hit game and sixth multi-RBI game of the year in a 7-3 win at Wichita State on March 25, as he went 3-for-5 with a pair of RBIs • Scored two runs in a game for the 15th time in his career in game one of a doubleheader sweep of No. 25 UC Irvine on March 15 • Scorched Northern Colorado on March 11, going 4-for-5 with his 11th career home run and four RBIs •  Was his 25th career multi-RBI game • Notched his 40th career multi-hit game with a 2-for-6 day at the plate on March 9 against St. John's • Was 3-for-5 at the plate with a run scored and two RBIs in a 12-4 home opening win over St. John's on March 7 • Went 2-for-4 with his third double of the year in a loss to Utah on Feb. 23 •  Notched a pair of hits, runs and RBIs in a 13-3 win over Washington on Feb. 22, while also producing a stolen base • Scored the eventual game-winning run in a 9-2 win over No. 1 Oregon State on Feb. 21 • Was 1-for-4 against the Beavers with a RBI double off the left field wall • Posted a .467 average (7-for-15) during the season's opening weekend at the Husker Classic in Tempe, Ariz. • Posted a career-best five hits, including a double, and drove in a pair of runs against No. 2 Oregon State on Feb. 15 • Notched his second extra-base hit of the weekend later in the day with a double in a win over Gonzaga.

2013: Kelly continued to excel as a sophomore, as he was a first-team All-Big Ten pick at second base by the league's coaches after being a second-team pick in 2012 • Led the team in hits with 85, while ranking third in batting average (.331), RBIs (33) and doubles (12) • Tied former first-team All-American John Cole (2001) for sixth in the single-season record book with 70 singles on the year • One of six players in program history to produce 70 of more singles in a single season, as school-record holder Francis Collins (86 in 1997; 79 in 1996) achieved the feat twice • Produced a team-high 175 assists on the year, tying him for sixth all-time in the Husker single-season record book with Chad Christensen (2011) • Delivered 24 multi-hit games, including three games with four hits • Tied Kash Kalkowski for second on the team with 10 multi-RBI games • Ended the season on a career-high 13-game hitting streak, topping his previous best of 12 games in 2012 • Earned Big Ten All-Tournament honors after going 10-for-27 in Minneapolis at Target Field • Highlight of the tournament was 2-for-5 performance in an elimination-game victory over Minnesota on May 24 • Produced a double, home run and three RBIs • Came through with three hits for the second-straight game with a 3-for-4 performance against Michigan on May 18, including his 10th double of the season • Was a triple shy of the cycle in a 9-6 win over Michigan on May 17 • Singled, homered and doubled in his first three trips to the plate • Three-run homer came in the second inning, his first of the season • Ended the game 3-for-5 with three RBIs, two runs scored and a stolen base • Belted a two-out, two-RBI triple in the second inning against Michigan on May 16 • Was his first triple of 2013 and third of his career • Delivered his 17th multi-hit game of the year with two hits and an RBI in a 3-2 win over No. 16 Indiana on May 5 • Produced his third four-hit game of the year and fifth of his career in a 12-2 win at Purdue on April 21 • Scored a pair of runs for the ninth time in his career in a 3-0 win over No. 10 Arkansas on April 16 • Seventh double of the season came in a 6-5 11-inning loss to Ohio State on April 13 • Walked in his first two at-bats against Ohio State on April 12 on eight straight balls • Was 0-for-9 in the series opener against Northwestern that lasted 16 innings, but then came back with a pair of four-hit games, including a four-RBI performance in the series finale to aid in a sweep of the Wildcats • Had just one hit in game two of a doubleheader with Illinois on March 23, but made the most of it with a two-out, two-RBI single the put Nebraska in front for good on its way to a 6-4 win • Had three hits for the second straight game, with two RBIs, in an 8-7 loss in game one of the doubleheader with Illinois • Produced his first three-hit performance of the year at Illinois on March 22, going 3-for-6 • Had six at-bats in a game for the first time in his career at No. 8 Cal State Fullerton on March 19 • Produced his fifth multi-hit game of the year with a 2-for-4 game in the second game of a doubleheader with Northern Colorado on March 6 • Saw his nine-game hitting streak come to an end in the first game of the doubleheader with Northern Colorado with an 0-for-5 performance • Struck out a career-high three times at No. 25 Texas on Feb. 22 • Was 2-for-4 at USC on Feb. 17 with a double and a run scored • Tied a career high with two walks in the season opener at CSU Bakersfield, also doubled in the game.

2012: Kelly put together one of the best freshman seasons in recent memory at Nebraska in 2012, as he was named a freshman All-American by Baseball America, Collegiate Baseball, Perfect Game and the NCBWA • Was a second-team All-Big Ten selection at second base and was honored on the All-Big Ten Freshman Team • Hit .313 in 41 starts and posted a team-high .521 slugging percentage with 16 extra-base hits, including eight home runs • Hit the most home runs by a Husker freshman since 2000, when Matt Hopper hit 21 at Buck Beltzer Stadium • Hit .367 with runners on bases, including a .364 average with runners in scoring position • Started the year as NU's starting shortstop, but was injured in the second game of the season and missed the next six games before returning at designated hitter • Was the first freshman to start a season opener at shortstop since 2008 when Ben Kline started at Stanford • Served as Nebraska's starting second baseman for the majority of the season • Drove in a career-high five RBIs on a 4-for-5 day against Penn State at the Big Ten Tournament on May 24 • Hit a three-run home run at Michigan on May 18 over the 26-foot high brick wall in left field at Ray Fisher Stadium • Saw an 11-game hitting streak come to an end against Wichita State on May 15, the Huskers' final home game of the 2012 season • Was 7-for-14 in a three-game sweep of Minnesota at Hawks Field, including a home run in each of the first two games of the series • Hit his fifth home run of the season at Indiana on May 6 • Delivered a double and two RBIs in a win over then-No. 16 Purdue on April 21 • Notched his second triple of the season on April 8 against Iowa, as he drove in two runs to tie the game, 8-8, in the bottom of the ninth with the triple and then scored the winning run on a walk-off single from Kale Kiser • Went 3-for-4 with two RBIs and a home run in a season-opening win at Northwestern on March 30 • Pinch hit against Northern Colorado on March 21 and hit his third home run in six games • Produced two hits, including a home run, for the fourth straight game against Louisiana Tech at Hawks Field on March 18 • Belted his first career home run as a Husker against South Dakota State on March 13 • Helped the Huskers split a four-game series with No. 18 California on March 12 with three RBIs on a 2-for-4 day at the plate, including a triple • Posted a 12-game hitting streak from March 12 to April 3 • Raised his average from .375 to .407, as he was 18-for-43 (.418) during the streak • Was 1-for-2 in his first career game as a Husker in the season opener against Gonzaga in Peoria, Ariz., on Feb. 17.

Before Nebraska: Kelly joined the Huskers as one of the top prep players in the state of Minnesota • Was one of seven finalists for the 2011 Minnesota Minute Men Mr. Baseball Award and was a 2011 All-Metro pick by the Minneapolis Star Tribune • Led Red Wing High School to the 2011 Minnesota Conference championship and its first winning season since 2007 with a .436 batting average and five home runs as a senior • Hit .442 over three seasons for the Wingers under Jim Bombach with 13 home runs and 74 RBIs • Played summer baseball for the Ohio Warhawks under Ron Slusher, one of the top 18-under programs in the country • Helped the team post a 40-4 record in 2010 and a 35-3 record in 2011 on their way to their third and fourth consecutive national championships.
