2018: Mitch Steinhoff made six relief appearances during his junior season, compiling a 7.94 ERA in 5.2 innings pitched and recorded two strikeouts • Struck out one batter in 1.0 no-hit scoreless inning at Oral Roberts on March 20 • Came out of the bullpen during the first game of a doubleheader against Cal Poly on March 10 for 2.0 scoreless innings • Tossed 1.0 no-hit scoreless inning with one strikeout out of the bullpen against No. 2 Oregon State on Feb. 24 • Threw 1.1 innings of relief against Washington State on Feb. 17.

2017: Steinhoff made a pair of relief appearances, throwing 3.0 innings • Season debut was a 2.0-inning effort on April 4 against Creighton, where he had one strikeout • Tossed 1.0 inning against Omaha on April 25.

2016: Steinhoff made one appearance for the Huskers in 2016 after redshirting his first season at Nebraska • Made his debut out of the bullpen against Wichita State on March 18 and gave up four hits.

2015: Steinhoff redshirted his first season at Nebraska.

Before Nebraska: Steinhoff joined the Huskers from Crete High School in Crete, Neb., where he played for Jeremy Fries • Helped Crete reach the 2014 state tournament, where they were eliminated by top-seeded Norris • Was 5-4 with a 2.06 ERA and 96 strikeouts as a senior over 54.1 innings of work • Tossed three no-hitters against Pender, Beatrice and Grand Island • Was named second-team All-Nebraska by the Omaha World-Herald and first-team Class B all-state by the Lincoln Journal Star • Led the Crete American Legion team to a runner-up finish at state in Class B • Was 10-2 with a 0.59 ERA and 103 strikeouts in 59.0 innings during the summer of 2014.

Personal: Born on April 4, 1995 • Parents are Troy and Julie Steinhoff • Has one sister, Renee, and two brothers, Travis and Spencer • Earned a bachelor's degree in December of 2018 as a dual major in business administration and management.
