2020: Drew Mackie played in three games, including one start in left field, before the season was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic • Went 0-for-4 with one run scored on the season • Made his Husker debut on Feb. 28 at Arizona State and scored a run.

Before Nebraska: Mackie joined the Huskers from Liberty High School in Liberty, Mo., where he played under Coach Kirk Bragg • As a senior, earned first-team all-state honors after hitting .432 with two home runs, two triples, 13 doubles, 35 RBIs, 48 hits and 12 stolen bases • The team earned a top-32 national ranking after his senior year • Played summer baseball for the Royals Scout Team under Coach Eric Briggs • Also lettered for the football team three times, earning second-team all-district honors as a receiver and defensive back.
