2013: Caleb Hawkins made 15 appearances for the Huskers in 2013, all out of the bullpen • Ended the year with a 0-1 record over 9.1 innings over work • Gave up just one hit and now runs over his first four appearances • Gave up a career-high three runs (all earned) on a career-high three hits without getting an out against Michigan on May 19 • Threw 0.2 inning of perfect relief in a 4-2 win over Arkansas on April 16 • Threw 1.1 innings of perfect relief at No. 25 UC Irvine on March 17 • Gave up his first run of the season on two hits in 0.2 innings at Louisiana Tech on March 9 • Pitched 1.0 inning of perfect relief in a one-hit win over Northern Colorado on March 6 • Pitched a perfect inning of scoreless relief with two strikeouts in his NU debut at CSU Bakersfield on Feb. 15.

Before Nebraska:
Hawkins transferred to Nebraska after playing two seasons at Texarkana College, where he played under current Nebraska Associate Head Coach Will Bolt in 2011 • In two years for the Bulldogs, he was 7-4 over 75 innings of work • Struck out 42 and walked 21, while being named a Region 14 East All-Star • Was President of the National Honor Society at Queen City High School and a four-year letterwinner in baseball and three-year letterwinner in football • Posted a 8-5 record and one save with a 2.84 ERA as a senior in 65.1 innings of work• Notched 121 strikeouts to 35 walks • Was a key member of the Texarkana American Legion team that won back-to-back Arkansas state championships in 2010 and 2011 • Was the 2011 tournament most valuable player with three win in the out of the bullpen • Chose Nebraska over Stephen F. Austin, Texas-San Antonio and Central Arkansas.
