Is very projectable with a great frame and the ability to throw in the upper 80s ? Garnered honorable-mention all-state laurels, leading the state with 70 strikeouts as a senior ? Was a multi-sport athlete in high school who Husker coaches think will develop as he turns his full attention to baseball.

Papillion-LaVista High School: One of the top pitching prospects in the state, Feekin played for Coach Jim Thomas at Papillion-LaVista High School ? Helped the Monarchs to a 21-12 record and a fifth-place showing at the 2006 state tournament ? Compiled a 5-3 record with a 3.96 ERA, as he topped all pitchers in the state with 70 strikeouts to earn honorable-mention all-state accolades ? Rated by Baseball America as the No. 3 high school prospect in Nebraska for the 2006 MLB Draft ? Turned in a solid summer playing American Legion baseball by going 5-1 with a 4.00 ERA, striking out 61 over 52.2 innings ? Lettered for three seasons for the Monarchs, going 5-3 with a 3.93 ERA and 56 strikeouts during his junior season ? Helped PLHS to a third-place finish at the 2004 state tournament, combining to win 11 games between his high school and American Legion seasons ? Attended the 2005 Nebraska Stars of Tomorrow Camp ?
