2017: Brady Childs finished his two-year career at Nebraska with a .103 batting average and three RBIs in 18 appearances • Made 13 appearances, including 11 starts at catcher as a senior • Hit .118 with one double and three RBIs • Went 3-for-4 with one double, one RBI and one run in his start against UC Riverside on Feb. 17 • Had a hit against Western Carolina on March 12.

2016: Childs saw action in five games, including a start at Indiana State on March 23 when he drew three walks and scored a run • Made his Husker debut at San Diego on Feb. 26, going 0-for-2 with a run scored • Finished the year 0-for-5 at the plate with two runs scored and four walks.

Before Nebraska: Childs transferred to Nebraska after spending two seasons at Neosho Community College • Played in 42 games as a sophomore, including 38 starts, and hit .252 with nine doubles and 19 RBIs • Threw out 17 base runners in 34 chances • Made 29 starts and played in 32 games as a freshman in 2014 • Hit .314 with seven doubles, one home run and 14 RBIs • Was ranked as the No. 1 catcher and No. 2 overall player in the state of Kansas in 2013 by Perfect Game • Was ranked by Perfect Game as the No. 57 high school catcher in the country coming out of Blue Valley Southwest High School • Played on the Timberwolves 2013 regional championship team • Earned all-conference honors as a sophomore, junior and senior.

Personal: Born on Aug. 24, 1994 • Parents are Greg and Beth Childs • Has one brother, Connor • Majoring in supply chain management at Nebraska.
