2017: AJ Johnson played in five games in 2017, all within a 10-game span from April 4-18 • Scored one run at Kansas State on April 11 as a pinch runner.

2016: Johnson played in three games as a true freshman, but did not record an at-bat • Came off the bench as a pinch runner in each appearance and scored two runs on the year • Made Husker debut against Loyola Marymount on March 11.

Before Nebraska: Johnson joined the Huskers from Mountain View High School in Mountain View, Calif. • Hit .473 as a senior with 10 doubles, 17 RBIs, 25 runs scored and 24 stolen bases in 28 games • Led the Central Coast Conference in both stolen bases and batting average • Was a four-time first-team all-league selection and earned 2015 Palo Alto Daily Utility Player-of-the-Year honors.

Personal: Born on Feb. 20, 1997 • Parents are Christina and Mike Johnson • Father is an alumnus of the University of Nebraska • Has a sister, Jenny, and a brother, Scott, who also attends Nebraska • Majoring in marketing and management.
