2022: Banjoff played in 47 games, making 38 starts for the Huskers. • Hit .233 with four doubles and two home runs. • Totaled 31 hits, 17 RBI and 18 runs. • Compiled eight multi-hit games and four multi-RBI games. • Had a season-high three hits and three RBI with a 3-for-4 performance vs. Oral Roberts. • Also drove in three runs at Indiana. • Homered against Indiana and Michigan State. • Scored two runs vs. Sam Houston and Northwestern State.

2021: Banjoff played in 22 games, including 15 starts for the Huskers. • Hit .255 with two doubles, a home run and seven RBI. • Totaled 14 hits and 12 runs. • Posted a .391 on-base percentage and .345 slugging percentage. • Had four multi-hit games. • Compiled a pair of multi-RBI games. • Had two hits against Purdue, Ohio State, Illinois and Penn State. • Drove in two runs vs. Illinois and Penn State. • Homered in a win vs. Minnesota. • Hit a double vs. Iowa and Northwestern.  

2020: Leighton Banjoff played in all 15 games, making 13 starts, before the season was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic • Earned Freshman All-America honors from Collegiate Baseball • Started eight games as the designated hitter, four games at third base and one in left field • Led the Husker offense in batting average (.341), stolen bases (3), slugging percentage (.636) and on-base percentage (.517) • Went 15-for-44 on the season with four doubles, three home runs, 13 RBIs and 12 runs scored • Produced three multi-hit efforts and three multi-RBI games • Ended the season on a 10-game reaching base streak • After going 0-for-6 in his first three games, he went 3-for-3 in his next game on Feb. 21 at San Diego • Smashed two home runs and drove in six runs as part of a 4-for-6 performance at Arizona State on March 1, which included one double and one stolen base • Added a home run in the subsequent game against Columbia on March 6 • Doubled as part of a 2-for-4 day against Columbia on March 8.

Before Nebraska: Banjoff joined the Huskers from Sheffield Village, Ohio, where he played at Elyria Catholic High School under Coach Bruce Lisicky • Helped the Panthers to the regional finals on two occasions • Compiled a .483 career batting average and amassed 158 hits, 127 runs scored, 90 RBIs, 45 doubles, 13 triples, 10 home runs and 84 stolen bases during his high school career • Twice named the Great Lakes Conference Player of the Year • Achieved first-team Great Lakes Conference honors during all four years • Tabbed 2019 District Player of the Year and 2019 Lorain County Mr. Baseball • Garnered first-team all-district three times and first-team all-state two times • Hit for the cycle as part of a 5-for-5 performance against Rocky River • A multi-sport athlete, he earned three letters in football and two letters in basketball • A member of National Honor Society, he graduated with a perfect 4.0 grade-point average • Played summer ball for the Lake Erie Warhawks under Coaches Adrian Abrahamowicz and Mike McClure.
