2022: Made 12 appearances, including five starts on the mound in his freshman season with the Huskers. • Went 0-1 with a 5.23 ERA. • Totaled 29 strikeouts in 31 innings. • Limited opposing hitters to a .237 batting average. • Had two starts with at least five innings. • Notched five outings with at least three strikeouts, including a season high seven strikeouts at Minnesota. • Tossed 5.1 innings in his first collegiate start against BYU, allowing two runs on four hits with a pair of strikeouts. • Allowed one run on four hits with seven strikeouts in 5.1 innings in start at Minnesota. • Tallied four strikeouts vs. Rutgers and three against New Mexico State, Creighton and Kansas State.
Before Nebraska: Brockett spent three years at Elkhorn South High School before playing his senior year at Buford High School in Buford, Ga. • Named to the Georgia 6A First-Team All-State Team and All-County First Team in 2021. • Went 7-0 with a 0.15 ERA as a senior. • Allowed one earned run and totaled 91 strikeouts and seven walks in 48 innings of work. • Helped team to No. 1 national ranking by Baseball America, National MaxPreps and Perfect Game in 2021 with a perfect 32-0 record in the regular-season. • With the East Cobb Astros, he won the inaugural 17U National Team Championships at the USA Baseball National Training Complex. • Posted seven strikeouts in four shutout innings of relief in the national championship game.
