2020: Hunter Cerveny did not play in any games during his first year with the Huskers.

Before Nebraska: Cerveny joined the Huskers from Wilber, Neb., and attended Wilber-Clatonia High School • Played for Wilber Post 101, where he compiled a .497 batting average with 86 hits, one home run, eight triples, 17 doubles, 62 runs scored and 58 RBIs • Played summer ball for the Nebraska Sluggers, where he batted .472 with only one strikeout in 72 at-bats • Led the Sluggers in hits (34), RBIs (23) and runs scored (26) • Tabbed as a Top-500 player by Perfect Game and the No. 4 player in Nebraska • Named the Sertoma Athlete of the Year at Wilber-Clatonia • Lettered in football, basketball and track at Wilber-Clatonia • Helped the football team capture the C-2 state title • Earned all-state and all-district honors on the gridiron, compiling 12 sacks during his senior season as a defensive end • As a guard on the basketball court, he earned all-state and all-conference accolades • As a sprinter on the track team, he won the conference title in the 100 meter dash • His 400 meter relay team qualified for the state tournament and medaled • Was an honor roll student during all four years.
 
Personal: Born on Oct. 26, 2000 • Parents are Mark and Roxie Cerveny • Has two sisters, Atley and Alexa • Majoring in elementary education.
