2022: Hood made 18 relief appearances in his freshman season with the Huskers. • Went 2-0 with a 4.26 ERA and one save. • Totaled 12 strikeouts in 12.2 innings. • Held opposing hitters to a .200 batting average. • Had six appearances with at least one inning. • Posted wins against North Dakota State and Kansas State. • Garnered lone save vs. Michigan State. • Pitched a season-high 1.1 innings against Creighton and North Dakota State. • Tallied a season-high three strikeouts in one inning of relief vs. Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. • Struck out two hitters vs. Kansas State and North Dakota State.

Before Nebraska: Three-sport letterwinner in football, basketball and baseball at Norris High School. • Earned all-state recognition as a wide receiver in football and was a Superstate selection as a pitcher and outfielder in baseball. • Led the Titans to a state-runner up finish in baseball. • Also played club baseball for the Ohio Warhawks under Ron Slusher.

Personal: Born on May 24, 2002. • Parents are Colby and Jennifer Hood. • Has three brothers, Byron, John and Alex. • Brother, Byron, was a member of the Nebraska baseball program in 2016-19. • Majoring in construction management.
