• Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll (Fall 2020; Spring 2021) 

Before Nebraska: Chance Hroch (pronounced Roach) is a graduate transfer from New Mexico State, where he played a key role on the Aggies’ pitching staff during the last four years under Coach Brian Green (2016-19) and former Husker assistant Mike Kirby (2020) • Before the 2020 season was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Hroch went 2-1 with a 4.68 ERA in four starts and compiled 20 strikeouts in 25.0 innings of work • A first-team All-Region and all-conference member in 2019, Hroch went 10-1 with a 2.74 ERA in 15 starts and compiled 69 strikeouts in 85.1 innings pitched • In 2018, he came out of the bullpen a team-high 26 times and went 4-2 with a 2.67 ERA • Hroch made 11 relief appearances in 2017 and managed a 3.65 ERA in 12.1 innings • Played high school baseball at Vista Murietta under Coach Matt Mosiello • As a senior, he compiled a 1.27 ERA with eight complete games and five shutouts • An all-state and all-conference member, he was named Southwestern League Player of the Year in 2016 • Was an honor roll student.
 
Personal: Born on June 16, 1997 • Parents are Kathy and Greg Hroch • Has one brother, Rocky • Earned his bachelor's degree from Nebraska as a child, youth and family studies major in August of 2022.
