2022: Chick played in 50 games for the Huskers, making 48 starts. • Hit .251 with seven doubles, two triples and eight home runs. • Totaled 43 hits, 26 RBI and 41 runs. • Was hit by pitch 16 times on the season, which ranks tied for 11th in program history. • Tied a school record after drawing five walks in win at Ohio State. • Compiled 11 multi-hit games and six multi-RBI games. • Posted three-hit games against Rutgers, BYU and Iowa. • Recorded a season-high four RBI after going 2-for-4 with a home run and three runs in win at Indiana. • Homered against TCU, New Mexico State, Ohio State, BYU (two times), North Dakota State, Indiana and Illinois.
2021: Chick appeared in 44 games, making 42 starts for Nebraska. • Second on the team with eight home runs and 39 RBI. • Tied for third on the team with eight doubles. • Totaled 40 hits and 29 runs. • Hit .260 with a .387 on-base percentage and .468 slugging percentage. • Was 8-for-10 in stealing bases. • Recorded 10 multi-hit and multi-RBI games. • Went 3-for-5 with a double, two home runs and six RBI at Iowa. • Also homered against Purdue, Minnesota, Illinois (two times), Northeastern and NJIT. • Scored a season-high three runs against Ohio State and NJIT. • Had two stolen bases vs. Rutgers. • Notched three-hit games vs. Iowa, at Illinois and at Penn State.
2020: Cam Chick was one of four Huskers to start all 15 games, along with Joe Acker, Aaron Palensky and Spencer Schwellenbach, before the season was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic • Started five games at second base, four games at third base and six games as the designated hitter • Batted .297 (19-for-64), leading the Huskers in hits for the season • Also led the Husker offense in total bases (35), sacrifice flies (2), at-bats (64) and total plate appearances (72), while sharing the team high in home runs (4) and triples (1) • Ranked second on the team in runs scored (13), RBIs (14) and stolen bases (2) • Led the team in multi-hit games (6) and also produced four multi-RBI games, tied for second-most on the team • Opened the season on a six-game hitting streak, managing back-to-back two-hit performances in the first two games with a home run and a triple • Doubled as part of a 4-for-5 outing at San Diego on Feb. 21 • Blistered his second home run of the season on Feb. 23 against Arizona • After going hitless in the first two games of the Arizona State series, he went 2-for-5 with a home run in the series finale on March 1 • His fourth home run of the season came on March 8 against Columbia.
2019: Chick earned second-team All-Big Ten accolades and made the Big Ten All-Freshman Team during his first year at Nebraska • Started 42 of his 47 games, with 19 starts as the designated hitter, 17 starts at third base, four starts at second base and two in left field • Batted .240 (41-for-171) with four home runs, three doubles, 31 RBIs, 33 runs scored and went 6-for-8 on stolen base attempts • Compiled 11 multi-hit games and seven multi-RBI games • During Big Ten play, he ranked second on the team in batting average (.316) • During the UC Riverside series, he compiled four RBIs and six runs scored in three games • Went 6-for-12 during the Michigan State series with five runs scored • Earned Big Ten Freshman-of-the-Week honors on April 8 after going 5-for-10 with two home runs, one double, six RBIs and four runs scored during the Purdue series • Had one hit during all three games of the Northwestern series, tallying three stolen bases and three runs scored • Managed one hit in each game during the Michigan series with one home run • Drove in a season-high four runs against Iowa at the Big Ten Tournament on May 24.
Before Nebraska: Chick prepped at Hickman High School in Missouri under Coach Mason Mershon • In 2018, Chick batted .472 in helping Hickman to a district title as well as a runner-up finish at the state tournament • During his career, he compiled 16 home runs, 78 RBIs, 97 runs scored, 50 stolen bases and 99 hits • Earned third-team All-America honors from the ABCA in addition to first-team all-state and All-Region 5 team accolades in 2018 • Also garnered All-USA Missouri Baseball first-team recognition from USA Today in 2018 • Collected all-district honors in 2016 and 2018 • Earned four letters playing football at Hickman • Played summer baseball for Kansas City Prodigy under Coach Cameron Bentley, helping the team capture the Missouri World Series title and TCU national championship.
