2020: Cade Povich started four games on the mound, tied for the most on the team, before the season was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic • Led the Huskers in strikeouts (26) and innings pitched (21.1), while ranking second on the team in ERA (5.06) • Compiled a 1-2 record • His 13.00 strikeout-to-walk ratio (26:2) ranked 19th in the nation and led the Big Ten • Tallied seven-or-more strikeouts in three of his four outings • Struck out a season-high eight batters on Feb. 23 against Arizona across 5.2 innings • Earned the win at Arizona State on March 1 when he threw 5.0 innings and recorded seven K’s • Allowed only one run in 6.2 innings against Columbia on March 7 (DH Game 2).

Before Nebraska: Povich transferred to Nebraska from South Mountain Community College in Phoenix, Ariz., where he played for one season under Coach Todd Eastin • Went 10-1 with a 1.52 ERA, eight complete games and five shutouts en route to first-team All-ACCAC and All-Region honors • Played high school baseball at Bellevue West in Bellevue, Neb., under Coach Jason Shockey • Went 9-3 with a 1.21 ERA and 115 strikeouts in 86.2 innings pitched in high school en route to first-team all-state honors and first-team All-ITG honors as a senior • Was Nebraska Max Preps Triple Crown leader in 2018.
