2023: Appeared in 47 games, making 38 starts for the Huskers. • Hit .262 at the plate with eight doubles. • Recorded 19 RBI and 24 runs. • Posted a .382 on-base percentage and .319 slugging percentage. • Totaled 10 multi-hit games and six multi-RBI contests. • Reached an on-base streak of 15 games. • Drove in season-high three RBI at South Alabama. • Recorded two RBI against San Diego, Northern Colorado, Minnesota, Purdue and Michigan State. • Went 2-for-4 with two doubles, an RBI and a run scored against Creighton. 

Before Nebraska: Columbus joins Nebraska after a pair of productive seasons at Wharton County Junior College. • In two seasons, he totaled a .328 batting average with 28 doubles, three triples, 17 home runs, 95 RBI and 98 runs. • Earned second-team all-conference recognition as a freshman and was named first-team all-conference and defensive player of the year as a sophomore. • Hit .365 at the plate with 20 doubles, two triples, nine home runs, 57 RBI and 65 runs in his second season. • Garnered 20 multi-hit games, including five three-hit games and a pair of two-home performances while tallying a .480 on-base percentage and .619 slugging percentage in 2022. • As a freshman, he hit eight doubles, a triple, eight home runs, 38 RBI and 32 runs while hitting .293 in 2021.
