2018: Scott Schreiber (pronounced Shry-bur) was selected in the ninth round of the 2018 MLB Draft by the Houston Astros following a historic senior season in which he earned third-team All-America honors from ABCA/Rawlings • Additional accolades included first-team All-Region, second-team All-Big Ten and was named a finalist for the Senior CLASS Award and semifinalist for the Golden Spikes Award • Ended his four-year career ranked fifth in program history in hits (259), tied for fourth in home runs (44) and ninth in RBIs (172), ranking in the top 20 among active NCAA Division I players in those categories at the end of the 2018 season • Led the Huskers in most statistical categories in 2018 and led the Big Ten in runs scored (62), while ranking second in the conference in home runs (18), second in total bases (148), tied for fourth in hits (79) and fifth in batting average (.369) • Was a force during conference play (22 games), batting .402 with 11 home runs, six doubles, 19 RBIs and 28 runs scored • In his last 39 games, batted .402 with 17 home runs, 42 RBIs and 53 runs scored after hitting .260 with one home run, six RBIs and nine runs scored during the first 13 games of the season • Had 25 multi-hit games and 11 multi-RBI games in 2018 • Was one of three Huskers to start all 52 games with 36 starts at first base, 15 starts in right field and one start as the designated hitter • Hit 14 home runs over the last 30 games • Went 4-for-9 during the Indiana series, including a 3-for-4 showing in the finale on May 13, with two RBIs and three runs scored during the three-game set • Blistered two home runs during the Maryland series, going 3-for-10 on the weekend with a double, three RBIs and six runs scored • Continued his torrid pace during the Nevada series, going 6-for-15 with two home runs, one double, one stolen base, five RBIs and five runs scored • Hammered his 14th home run of the season on April 24 as part of a 3-for-5 performance with four RBIs and two runs scored against Creighton • Pounded two home runs during the Rutgers series, going 2-for-5 with two RBIs in the series finale on April 22 • Led NU’s offense against Omaha on April 18, going 3-for-5 with a triple, one RBI and three runs scored • Named Big Ten Player of the Week following a 6-for-8 performance during the Michigan State series with two home runs (one in each game), four runs scored, two RBIs, one double and one stolen base • Led Nebraska’s offense during the Ohio State series, going 8-for-14 with three home runs (one in each game), five runs scored, six RBIs, one double and one stolen base • Went 7-for-11 during the Minnesota series, managing multi-hit outings in all three games • Launched two home runs against Minnesota on March 24 as part of a 3-for-4 day with three runs scored and three RBIs • Led NU’s offense during the Northern Colorado series, going 6-for-8 with two home runs, five runs scored and six RBIs • Became the 26th member of Nebraska’s 200-hit club on March 13 as part of a 3-for-4 day against Northern Colorado • Smashed two home runs, including a grand slam, against Northern Colorado on March 14 with a career-high six RBIs and four runs scored • Went 5-for-16 during the Cal Poly series with four runs scored, one double, one home run and six RBIs • Slugged his second home run of the season during the second game of a doubleheader against Cal Poly on March 10 • Had at least one hit in all four games of the Big Ten/Pac-12 Challenge, going 5-for-16 with two doubles and three runs scored • Went 5-for-14 during the opening weekend, including a pair of two-hit performances • First home run of the season came against Washington State on Feb. 18.

2017: Schreiber was drafted in the 26th round by the Tampa Bay Rays following the 2017 campaign, but decided to return to Nebraska for his senior season • Earned first-team All-Big Ten honors for the second consecutive season • Led the Husker offense in most statistical categories, including batting average (.330), slugging percentage (.494), hits (77), RBIs (51), home runs (7) and doubles (15) • His 77 hits ranked fourth in the Big Ten • Tied for the most starts on the team (57) with Luis Alvarado, making 36 starts in the DH spot, 20 in right field and one at first base • Ranked second on the team in runs scored (45), behind Jake Meyers’ 52 • Had his lone triple of the season on May 20 at Penn State in the Big Ten regular-season title-clinching game • His 25 multi-hit games led the Huskers • His 15-game hitting streak from April 21 to May 18 was the longest on the team • Led the Huskers with 15 multi-RBI games, including a trio of four RBI efforts • Hit. 500 during the series at Ohio State with two doubles and five RBIs • Career-high four runs against Purdue on May 24 in the Big Ten Tournament • Smashed Nebraska’s first two homers of the season • His first homer of the season was March 7 against Northern Colorado, which was part of a four-RBI day • Blasted a homer as part of a 3-for-4 performance on March 17 against College of Charleston, which included two doubles and four RBIs • Third home run came against Creighton on April 4 • Went 2-for-2 with a home run against Omaha on April 25 • Fifth home run came on May 5 against Rutgers as part of a three-RBI day • Sixth home run came on May 24 against Purdue • Seventh homer came at NCAA Regionals on June 3 against Holy Cross.

2016: Schreiber had a breakout sophomore season in 2016, earning him first-team All-Big Ten honors and honorable-mention All-America accolades from Perfect Game/Rawlings • Was one of the hottest hitters in the country late in the season before an abdominal injury cost him the final two games of the regular season, both of NU’s games at the Big Ten Tournament and the final game of the NCAA Tournament • Led the Huskers with 16 home runs and 55 RBIs, while hitting .325 (64-for-197) with 10 doubles and one triple • Most home runs by a Husker since 2010 when Adam Bailey hit 18 and the most by a NU sophomore since 2004 when Alex Gordon hit 18 • Posted a slugging percentage of .629, while no other Husker topped .500 • Finished the year tied for 16th nationally in home runs and led the Big Ten • Was one RBI shy of tying for the league lead • Homered in consecutive at-bats in NU’s home opener against Northern Colorado on March 8, the first player to homer in consecutive at-bats since Brandon Buckman did it against Illinois State in 2006 • Achieved the feat against Penn State on May 15, a game he went 4-for-4 with two home runs and three RBIs • Had a career night in NU’s 15-2 win at Creighton on May 17 • Went 5-for-6 against the Jays with two home runs, a double and a career-high five RBIs • Going back to the Penn State game on May 15, recorded a hit in nine straight at-bats before flying out to deep center in the eighth • With his home run in the third inning against the Jays on May 17, became the first Husker to homer at TD Ameritrade Park and with his second home run in the sixth he became just the third player ever and the first non-Creighton hitter to hit two home runs in a game at the facility • Three multi-home run games in 2016 were the most by a Husker since Buckman also had three in 2006 • Ended the year with 19 multi-hit games, including two four-hit games and a five-hit game • Led the Huskers with 18 multi-RBI games, including eight games with three RBIs or more • Posted a 21-game on-base streak during the year, the longest by a Husker in 2016.

2015: Schreiber made an immediate contribution as a true freshman in 2015, as he played in 40 games, including 38 starts • Named to the Big Ten All-Freshman Team • Hit .271 (39-for-144) with two doubles, two triples, three home runs and 18 RBIs • Notched eight multi-hit games and a pair of multi-RBI games • Put together a pair of seven-game hitting streaks, including one that carried over into 2016 • Raised his average from .237 to .271 over the final seven games of the year by going 11-for-26 with multi-hit games in three of the final four games of the year • Hit his first home run in a 3-2 extra-inning win at Omaha on April 1 • Also homered against Kansas State and Purdue • Scored a season-high three runs in an 11-0 win at Northwestern on May 3.

Before Nebraska: Schreiber joined the Huskers from Kimberly High School in Menasha, Wis. • Was the first Wisconsin native to sign with the Huskers since Marcellus Dawson (Milwaukee, Wis.) was a member of Nebraska’s 2002 College World Series team • Ranked as the No. 2 overall player in the state of Wisconsin and the No. 322 player in the nation by Perfect Game • Named Gatorade Player of the Year and Wisconsin Baseball Coaches Association Player of the Year following his junior season • Led Kimberly to the 2014 D1 state title game, where they lost to Sun Prairie • Hit .450 with 13 doubles, three home runs, 23 RBIs and 11 stolen bases • Produced a .531 average at the plate, with 34 hits, including eight doubles, two triples and six homers • Also scored 32 runs, stole eight bases and drove in 37 runs • Led Kimberly to the 2013 WIAA Division 2 state football title with a 51-10 win over Oshkosh North • Accounted for five touchdowns, including four on the ground • Ran for 100 yards on 12 carries, while going 9-of-12 for 154 yards and one score through the air.

Personal: Born on Oct. 13, 1995 • Parents are Jim and Maria Schreiber • Has one sister, Alyssa, and three brothers, Eric, Brad and Mitch • Brad pitched at Purdue and is in the Colorado Rockies organization • Majoring in mechanized systems management.
