2021-22: Junior
Chester Wickwire saw action in one singles match and three doubles matches this spring, posting a 1-0 overall record in singles and a 2-1 record in doubles. In the spring, Wickwire tallied a singles win over Omaha’s Victor Sklenka 2-6, 6-4, 6-1.

Wickwire also had success off the court. He earned a spot on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in the fall of 2021 and was a member of the 2022 Tom Osborne Citizenship Team.

2020-21: Sophomore
Wickwire saw action in three matches this season, posting a 1-2 overall record in singles and an 0-2 overall record in doubles. His singles win was against Kaleb Dobbs of Minnesota, where he took the match to three sets and came out on top, 3-6, 6-4, 7-5.

Wickwire also had success in the classroom. He captured Academic All-Big Ten honors and earned spots on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in both the fall and spring semesters of 2020-21.
 

2019-20: Freshman (Year of Eligibility Restored Due to COVID-19 Pandemic)
Wickwire competed in a total of 21 matches during a freshman season that was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Wickwire went 5-7 in singles play, including a 1-1 mark during the spring following a four-win fall. On the doubles court, Wickwire posted a 3-6 record. He contributed to the Huskers' win over Kansas City, earning a victory at No. 5 singles and No. 3 doubles.

In the classroom, Wickwire earned a spot on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll during the spring semester.

Before Nebraska
Wickwire was rated as the No. 176 recruit in the nation by the Tennis Recruiting Network and was the No. 4 player in the state of Ohio while training at the Rashid Hassan Tennis Academy. He graduated from Mahoning Unlimited Classroom.

Personal 
The son of Matt Wickwire and Susan Cobean, Chester was born on Jan. 27, 2001. He is the older brother of Liam Wickwire. A psychology major, Chester earned Academic All-Big Ten honors in 2021 and 2022. He is a four-time Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll selection. He is also a three-time member of the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team.
