• Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll (Fall 2019; Spring 2020) 

2020: Luke Boynton played in nine games, including six starts, before the season was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic • Made five starts at first base and one start as the designated hitter • Batted .423 (11-for-26) with one double, four RBIs and two runs scored • After going 1-for-7 in his first four games as a Husker, he went 10-for-19 over the last five games of the season, notching three multi-hit efforts during that span • After sitting out the first game of the four-game Columbia series, he led the Husker offense over the final three games, going 7-for-12 • Went 3-for-4 with a run scored and a stolen base during the first game of a doubleheader against Columbia on March 7 • Drove in three runs as part of a 3-for-5 performance against Columbia on March 8 • After going 2-for-3 with an RBI against Northern Colorado on March 10, he doubled and scored a run the following day against the Bears.

Before Nebraska: Boynton joined the Huskers from George Walton High School in Marietta, Ga., where he played under Coach Shane Amos • Helped his team to a state title and No. 2 national ranking in 2016 before the team captured region titles in 2017 and 2019 • Finished his career with 34 home runs after blasting 20 homers as a senior to break the school record for single-season home runs • Hit .412 as a senior with 56 RBIs en route to first-team all-state honors • Also earned region player-of-the-year accolades and was named a Metro Atlanta All-Star • An honor roll student, he also lettered twice in football.
