2021 (Senior) 
Jonathan Scripnick earned spots on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in both the fall and spring semesters of 2020-21.

2020 (Junior) 
Scripnick competed in all five meets before the season ended early due to the coronavirus pandemic. Scripnick earned a spot on the Tom Osborne Citizenship team for the third year in a row. He also claimed a spot on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll for his dedication in the classroom. 

2019 (Sophomore)
Scripnick competed on vault to help the Huskers to a third-place finish at the NCAA Championships. He also had three personal bests in 2019, including floor (12.20; vs. Illinois/Oklahoma), vault (14.35; at Penn State), and high bar (13.10; vs. Illinois/Oklahoma). 

Scripnick earned the Sam Foltz 27 Hero Leadership Award and the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team for his contributions to the Lincoln community.

2018 (Freshman)
As a freshman, Scripnick competed on rings in every regular-season meet except one. Scripnick scored his career-best 13.60 at the Rocky Mountain Open on Jan. 13.

Before Nebraska
Scripnick was a member of Futures Gymnastics and was coached by Zhaohui Huang.  Scripnick was a member of the Junior Canadian National Team for seven years. He finished first on rings, vault, parallel bars and high bar at the 2016 Provincial Championships. The Milton, Ontario, native finished eighth in the all-around at Elite Canada in 2016. At the same competition, he earned a spot in the event finals on rings, parallel bars and high bar. Additionally, he finished 15th in the all-around at the 2016 Canadian National Championships.

Scripnick was a student at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Secondary School.

Personal
The son of James and Sheila Scripnick, Jonathan was born on Feb. 14, 1999 in Timmins, Ontario, Canada. He has a younger sister, Vanessa. Jonathan is majoring in marketing and is a three-time Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll selection. In his spare time, he enjoys videography and photography. 

He chose Nebraska because of the overwhelming support for student-athletes, both athletically and academically.
