1982: Senior Season
In his final year as a Husker, Randy Theiss helped lead the Huskers to nation leading totals in rushing, total offense and scoring...earned All-Big Eight and Associated Press third-team All-American as a senior...also earned Academic All-American honors.

1981: Junior Season
Theiss was a key member of the 1981 Husker offense which ranked second in the nation in rushing at 330.5 yards-per game, and which rolled up the nation's top single-game rushing total of the season, 541 vs. Colorado in agame which saw Nebraska set an NCAA record with 42 first downs...earned Academic All-American and Academic All-Big Eight in 1981.

1980: Sophomore Season
Played 320 minutes as a sophomore starter...in 1980, Theiss earned honorable-mention All-Big Eight...also a fine classroom performer, Randy was a first-team All-Big Eight Academic choice, with a 3.59 average in business.

1979: Redshirted
Redshirted in 1979 after playing on the freshman team in 1978.

1978: Freshman Season
Spent freshman year on the freshman team.
